For this project, I was tasked with designing a cover for a well-known book that visually captures the essence of its story. Given the depth and significance of its themes, I chose to reimagine the cover of It Ends With Us.

The book discusses the topic of domestic abuse. It follows the story of a young woman whose life’s dream was to open a flower shop. A central theme of the book was highlighting how something that appears so beautiful and perfect on the outside, could be breaking someone else on the inside.  Thus, I decided to create imagery using the metaphor of a flower breaking. I wanted to contrast the hardship of such a serious topic with the beauty of a flower. In addition, I also wanted the redesigned book cover to reflect the concept of layers being peeled back as the further one reads, the more they discover about the narrative they are initially introduced to.
