The Voice
Magazine Design
Project Overview
This publication brings together three articles centered on history and sociopolitical change. Each article explores design as a marker of identity, power, and progress.
The visual concept explores the relationship between historical legacy and modern development. The design reflects this tension by blending archival photographic influences with contemporary visual treatments, allowing past and present to coexist throughout the publication.
A key challenge was balancing distinction and cohesion across multiple articles with different structures and tones. I approached each article individually through unique layouts and accent colors that act as visual cues for new sections, while maintaining consistency through a unified typographic system and a consistent photographic treatment across the book.
The result is a publication that allows each story to maintain its own voice while remaining visually cohesive as a single editorial experience
